For the second consecutive year, Kotronis Plastics executives participated in a series of annual lectures organised by the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Patras.
‘The Role of Plastic Packaging in the Food Industry: the Kotronis Plastics Experience’ was the main title of the presentations delivered by Quality Assurance Manager Lazaros Sarotis and QC Raw Material Analyst Evi Peleki, who presented the stages of product production and control, food quality and safety management standards, hygiene requirements across the range of our manufacturing processes, as well as contemporary trends in plastic food packaging.
In addition, our executives had the opportunity to talk with the attendees about the challenges and prospects facing a chemical engineer in modern industry, but also to focus on issues concerning the future of plastic food packaging. All the students showed keen interest in the executives’ presentations, which was evident from the questions they asked as well as their large attendance.
