Kotronis plastics executives guest speakers at the University of Patras

‘The role of plastic packaging in the food industry. The experience of “Kotronis Plastics”’, was the main title of the presentations given by our executives, Lazaros Sarotis, Quality Assurance Manager, and Evi Peleki, QC Raw Material Analyst, at the University of Patras, following an invitation by the Chemical Engineering Department.

Their presentations sparked an extremely interesting discussion with students, which focused mainly on the career prospects and challenges facing a Chemical Engineer, but also on the present and future of plastic food packaging.

At the same time, emphasis was also placed on more specific issues, such as the production and control stages at ‘Kotronis Plastics’, food quality and safety management standards, hygiene requirements in the whole range of processes and the contribution of plastic packaging in the food industry with emphasis on modern trends.
